For pet accidents or food spills, an enzyme cleaner is the right tool — it breaks down the odor-causing compounds instead of covering them. Always test on a hidden spot first, and check your couch’s care tag: W means water-based cleaners are safe, S means solvent-only, X means vacuum-only and call a professional.

Step 5: Air It Out
